Can there be pus in your acne?
Pus is a waxy and varying colored fluid drain from acne. It is an accumulation of white blood cells, dead skin cells and some bacteria which is normally known as staph bacteria. Acne with pus takes place due to the blockage on skin pores. Skin pores are usually blocked due to collection of sebum and dead skin cells. When skin pores blocked, it leads to some kind of infection and in this condition your immune system develops monocytes and macrophages to battle this infection.
These destroy most of the bacteria but the left stay in the pores and erupt into acne with pus. Pus filled acnes normally occur on the face, neck, shoulders and upper back.
Pus filled acne not only spoil your skin texture but also cause scars on your skin. So, it is very important to treat acne properly in its initial stage itself otherwise it can turn into a major skin problem. Usually hot compresses are used to drain out pus from your skin.
Acne with pus is not a wait and watch kind of effect. If the pus is oozing out constantly from your skin then it is very essential to treat it quickly because it may result in staph infections in the blood, which is one of the extreme serious complications caused due to acne.
