  • Is acne contagious?

The acne is not contagious at all, that means acne cannot be transmitted from one human to another by means of some agent. A blackhead, pimples or various ways in which it gets appeared is due to the excess of sebum which gets produced by the sebaceous gland. Due to the excess sebum which gets produced combines with the dead skin, as a result of which acne is caused or there is a bump which gets formed on the skin which can be either a pimple or a black head.

The sebaceous gland is every where in the human body except the palm or the sole of the feet; it is also present where the hair cannot possibly grow also. Hence, due to one’s hormonal imbalance it is not possible that acne gets transferred from one body to another.

It is hence very satisfactory that acne cannot be transmitted from one person to another and it is also very clear that there is nothing in the formation of acne which is transferable. Nobody can detect the formation of acne due to the imbalance of one’s sebaceous gland and at the same time it is also not possible to stop the formation once the formation has occurred.
