Herbal Acne Treatments

There are many ways to use herbs to cure and prevent acne. With a combination of steam and infusion of essential oils and plant extract is easy ways deal with acne problems. Tea Tree oil is best for treating spots from outside, it’s a natural antibiotic which dries skin and makes it less prone to acne, all you have to do is to apply Tea tree oil with a cotton bud on the spots as soon as they appear on your skin for rapid affects and for the acceleration of the curing process.

Other oils that are consider valuable for acne treatment are geranium, grapefruit, juniper chamomile, cedar wood, clove, , lavender, palma rosa, patchouli, peppermint, tangerine. Most of these oils need to be thinned first with mild transporter oil. Chamomile cool tea can be used for daily face wash.

Contemporary treatments including Zinc are also useful. Rosehip seed oil can also be used to reduce scars; it contains fatty acids which help in fading scars. It can be directly applied to skin. Aloe Vera gel is another great herb used for the treatment of acne. It can be topically applied to skin or you can also drink aloe Vera juice for better healing up scars.
Fenugreek is another effective way to treat acne problems. You can make a paste of fenugreek leaves and apply to your face at night. Leave the paste overnight and rinse off with warm water next morning. Grated cucumber applied for 15 to 20 minutes over the face and neck is also very useful for acne and pimples prevention.
