Acne - All about Excoriated Acne
Acne is a skin condition that can fall into different types. The term acne is actually a broad description to certain skin conditions that may arise, as such with blemishes, pimples, whiteheads, etc. Acne can either be mild (regular acne) or severe (rare acne).
What is excoriated acne?
While common acne types are caused by hormone alterations, this one is acne that is caused by a person's own doings. As the term implies, excoriated acne is acne that develops from being scratched, squeezed or picked. It commonly emerges as mild acne to most people without the evidence of nodules or pustules. This usually happens when you spend hours in front of your mirror picking at or squeezing every single blotch you see on your skin, particularly on the face.
It is a common struggle for acne sufferers to see and feel that they seize such annoying acne on their skin. Because of this, it is unavoidable for them to occasionally pulled out, especially squeezing the blackheads, which would then lead to another problem or even worse acne to occur. Common results from doing these things are red marks that would lead to skin irritation, which gives way to potential acne scarring, later on. This is the rationale behind the expert's advice to leave skin blemishes alone, to shun from abrading your skin afterward.
