  • What Type of Diet can Help Control Acne Breakouts?

Acne is a typical skin condition when the skin experiences problems in the form of pimples, redness and other diseases. This is a serious and common problem. Diet is an important component that can decide the extent to which acne can affect the skin.

A poor diet causes many negative effects and also increases the chances of contracting acne. It is seen that having more intake of sugar and carbohydrates increases the chances of occurrence of acne. Acne is caused due to sebum accumulation in the pores of the skin. As such one needs to maintain a proper pH balance in their diet to avoid this condition.

Having a pH value in the range of 7 would keep the body healthy and neutral. Drinking more water would reduce the acidity or alkalinity condition that may occurred due to intake of certain foods. This would bring the body back to neutral. Intake of foods that are rich sources of vitamin D is sure to increase the condition of the skin. This would deliver a shiny appearance to the skin and would make it more resistant towards any foreign matter attack on the skin. Avoiding junk food and increasing the nutritional level in the foods would reduce the occurrence of acne in the skin.
