Is Back Acne Unusual?

Back acne is a bit of unusual condition. Though acne as such is a general condition that tends to occur is a majority of people, a variant of acne called the back acne occurs in a smaller population of the people. It should be noted that in all types of acne it is the sebum that plays an important role in the occurrence of this disorder.

Whenever there is an excessive excretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands, there are chances that sebum gets clogged in the pores of the skin where this excretion occurs and does not find its way out. This results in drying up of the semi liquid which may result in the formation of acne cases like that of blackheads and whiteheads. It may occur on almost any part of the body.

The most common parts are those of face, neck and chest. But acne is found to occur in the back portion of the body as well and is termed as back acne in such cases. Though this is a bit unusual but the skin condition of certain people is favorable to its occurrence. Back acne can be really embarrassing to the person who has contracted this condition.
