There are many treatments and different ingredients available for the acne. But it depends on what type of skin you have. If you have a skin type that can resist any ingredient or gel on it than you can try as many so to see which one suits you. However if you have any doubt or have previously encountered allergic reactions it means you have a sensitive skin and should use after consulting a doctor or specialist what will suit you for treating acne.

The common ingredients advised by people are benzyl peroxide and salicylic acid unaware of the fact that they can cause serious damage to your skin. Some times benzyl reacts even to normal skin as its characteristics are to dry the skin. That dryness sometimes causes irritation or redness.

The other ingredient salicylic acid is also very dangerous as it penetrates through the skin dissolving in the blood to cure the acne however it affects other parts of the body too. It also affects the natural immune system by destroying healthy cells.

If you have sensitive skin than you should first try to drink water as much as you can as it is natural purifier that cleans your body from inside eat vegetables and fruits. Fruits are natural treatment for antioxidants that our body produces inside us. Try to wash the face many times during a day but avoid anti bacterial soaps and face wash. Use a normal white soap as colored soaps contain chemicals that could also cause allergic reaction to your sensitive skin.
